While in Isfahan for Ashura, I had the chance to meet a group of extremely nice and welcoming local people, involved in an organization which aims was to inform foreigners on the paricular customs and culture revolving around the Ashura celebrations. Mohamed (with the shiny suit), Mollah Asghar, and the two ladies which name I can’t recall, kindly took it upon them to show us around during two days, providing particularly interesting insights on the ongoing celebrations, which interest actually really lied on discovering the historical (and mythological) facts underlying them.
